DALKEY ISLAND from SORRENTO PARK, Dalkey, County Dublin, Ireland

This is an early photo of Dalkey Island taken from Sorrento Park in Dalkey.  Coliemore Road (and another small park) are down below, you can see the chimney and roof of one of the houses that sits right on the water.  Sorrento Terrace is also down below, to the right.  That’s one of the Martello Towers in the middle of the island, and the ruins of the fortress on the right end.  You can see just the top of St. Begnet church ruins to the left of the tower.
