YEAR ONE IN REVIEW – 365 Days of Posts

009It was one year ago today, April 29, 2012, that I published my first blog post.  At the time, I thought I would rotate my three favorite subjects on a daily basis:  cooking and baking, family history, and Ireland.  However, once I got into the process — and once I realized how long it would take me to post everything I very fortunately have — I started posting a couple times a day, and then settled into one post on each topic every day.  Sometimes it has been a challenge to keep up with this goal, but for the most part, it’s a rewarding task.

I want to thank all of you who are following my blog (more than 200 as of last week) and for all the “likes”.  Through the blog stats, I am able to track a lot of things such as the countries where people are living when they check out my blog, most popular posts of the day and week, and how many people visit on any given day.  There are definitely trends, but I am sometimes surprised by which topics or photos are the most popular.

Thank you also to the three followers who have nominated me for awards in the last two weeks:  The Liebster Award (before I passed 200 followers); the Epically Awesome Award and just today the Versatile Blogger Award.  I have not had the time to follow up on this quite yet but intend to do so this week.  And I truly appreciate the nominations!  More on this soon!

Here is to another 365 days of posts!

PS  I came across the photo above today amongst images taken in Ireland late in December, 1999 when I went there for the Millennium celebrations.  I was glad there was a fence between me and this bull because even though he came over to the fence, the look in his eye was not friendly!

  1. Congrats on your one year anniversary! That bull looks like he’s just daring someone to come close.
