SPICED PECANS

Here is a last suggestion for pecan halves for the holidays.  This is a spicy variation that uses a lot of spices!

SPICED PECANS

Heat oven to 300 degrees F.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.  Mix 2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar, 2 tablespoons smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander, 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic, 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin, and 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice in a bowl.  Mix 2 cups pecan halves and 1/2 beaten egg white in a bowl until combined.  Toss nuts with spice mixture to coat completely.  Spread on prepared baking sheet; bake until browned and crisp, about 25 minutes.  Let cool before serving.
