It was early October, the the berries were still not completely ripe. Blackberries grow everywhere in Ireland, and you often see people out picking them, filling up buckets and other containers. You made my mouth water, thinking of blackberry and apple pie! On the east coast particularly around Dublin we don’t tend to see as many of them as in the southern Counties and those that do grow close to the road are never picked. But yes a heart warming memory was evoked by your picture.
