I came across this recipe the other day and am re-posting for all you chocolate lovers out there! We don’t necessarily think of chocolate for St. Patrick’s Day, but I can tell you that I’ve never met an Irish person who did not love their chocolate. Here you go…Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I am not sure who sent me this recipe. I printed it out in 2001 from the AOL account I had at the time, but I put no identifying information on it. If you love chocolate, you MUST try this one!
MURDER, INC.
2 sticks margarine
1 cup water
5 teaspoons cocoa
Melt margarine with water and cocoa. Pour over and mix with:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
Beat until thick, but not stiff, then add:
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon soda
2 eggs
Mix well and spread on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes.
For the Frosting:
Heat and stir until well blended, 1 stick margarine, 5 Tablespoons cocoa, 6 Tablespoons milk, then add one box powdered sugar and 1 cup pecans. Pour over cake while still warm.
