COUSINS – 1919

001That’s Billy Rodgers, age 5, on the left and his cousin, Ruthanna Lewis, also age 5.  Don’t you love the collection of dolls…I think the one in front with the dark dress might have been a Kewpie.  These kids’ mothers, Ethyl Rodgers and Ednah Lewis, were sisters, both daughters of my great aunt, Anna L. Faulkner Tweddell.  So that makes them first cousins to each other but my second cousins.  Not sure who was visiting whom, but I would say this was probably taken in Seattle when Billy and family were visiting from Spokane, as I doubt Ruthanna would have been allowed to take all those dolls on a trip…unless they belonged to Billy’s older sister, Ritzanna Rodgers.

  1. Isn’t that a Kewpie doll in the front?

    • Yes, and I am wondering where Billy’s sister, Ritzanna, was when this photo was being taken.
