Belgooly Distillery, County Cork, Ireland

P1010375aIt was a rainy, dreary day, but as I left Kinsale and headed back to the motorway, I passed through Belgooly, which is a little town with an abandoned distillery.  The sign outside (see below) says, “Grim and silent the old mill stands, Where business once was brisky, For far away to foreign lands, They sent their famous whiskey.”  The building was originally a mill which was then converted to distillery.
