I took a French country cooking class a couple of months ago, and this was the first recipe we made. I don’t really like hazelnuts, so I have made it at home and substituted chopped, toasted pecans.
BAKED CAMEMBERT WITH HONEY AND HAZELNUTS
1 whole Camembert cheese (or other cheese in a stapled wooden box, about 450 grams
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons chopped hazelnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Remove the cheese from the box, unwrap and cut off top rind. Replace the cheese in the box, spread top with honey and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake 10 to 15 minutes until cheese is warm. Serve with crackers or baguette rounds.
BON APPETIT!
