This is another very old image of the Quay and Clew Bay at Westport, County Mayo, Ireland. Until recent years, Westport was a shipping port, and there were many mills and warehouses in this area. Most of the warehouses have now been converted to apartments and holiday flats. See my earlier Westport posts for more information. That is Croagh Patrick to the left with the pointed top. There is a chapel at the top and the walk up the mountain is considered a pilgrimage by many.
