VANCOUVER ISLAND – Strait of Georgia

In 1993, my daughter and I flew to Seattle, then picked up a car and drove to Vancouver for a few days.  We also ventured over to Vancouver Island where we stayed at a resort called Tigh na mara, which means House by the Sea in the Irish Gaelic language.

The resort consisted of many double log cabins with views of the Strait of Georgia. I took this photo from the balcony when the tide was coming in.  Even at high tide, the water was very shallow and it was possible to walk out several hundred yards before the water was up to the waist.

More of these Canadian photos to follow when I come across them.
