Mae and Nannie Lea Ferrier – circa 1910

Dallas County, Missouri, Ferrier, high fashion circa 1910These fashionable young ladies are my great aunts, Mae and Nannie Lea Ferrier, Dallas County, Missouri.  I think from the style of their dress and skirt lengths that this was taken about 1910.  They were the youngest of the ten siblings and were still unmarried at that time.   Don’t you just love the hats?  Mae was christened Lourinda Mae, and you would guess that Nannie’s given name might have been Nancy, but no:  she was named Nannie Lea.  Click on the photo to enlarge for a better view.
