Standard Oil, Larry R. Marlin, 1940 Cehvrolet, 1953 PontiacAfter my brother, Larry Marlin, attended college for a couple of years, he went to work for what was at the time Standard Oil, working in one of their gas stations.  He went on to own one of the franchises after the company became Chevron.  Here is Larry standing outside our house in his new uniform, complete with white cap.  The photo was taken about 1958-59.  That’s the family’s 1953 Pontiac Super Chief on the right, and one of the other family cars on the left.
