SORRENTO TERRACE and DALKEY ISLAND, Dalkey, County Dublin, Ireland

Here is a more modern view of Sorrento Terrace and Dalkey Island courtesy of Dalkey News.  As you can see, Sorrento Terrace is built on the point of land that forms the north end of Killiney Bay.  You can barely see the ruins of St. Begnet’s church on the island (left) and the Martello Tower in the center.  The ruins on the right end are an old fort.
