001eThis is a photo of my great grandparents, James Jones and Lunda Carrie Hall Marlin, standing in front of someone’s home in California probably some time in the late 30’s or early 40’s.  That is their son, Scott Marlin, standing on the left.  I posted a family photo of them a few months ago where they are seated with several of their children, and more were to come.  My grandmother, Aunt Lundy as she was called by the locals, was an adopted child into the Hall family.  It was said that she was half Cherokee Indian, but that story was disproved when I took a DNA test about a year ago.  She lived to be 97 years old, and I remember her vividly as she was always sitting with a blanket wrapped around her legs, and a great deal of the time she smoked a corn cob pipe!  My great grandfather died before I was born, so there are no memories of him, but Lundy lived out her later years with her daughter, Nell, in Torrance , California, and we visited often.  Nell was also a widow by that time.
