GOURMET WILD RICE STUFFING – Gluten Free

This is another variation on wild rice stuffing which is very simple to make.

GOURMET WILD RICE STUFFING

1-1/2 cups cooked turkey bacon, crumbled

4 cups water

1 – 4 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained

2 boxes Uncle Ben’s Long Grain & Wild Rice Original Recipe

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup onion, chopped.

Cook onions in melted butter until soft.  Add water, stir in contents of all packets of wild rice and seasonings, bacon and mushrooms.  Bring to a boil  Cover tightly and cook over low heat for 22 minutes.  Stuff bird loosely with hot stuffing, allowing 1/2 cup per pound or bake stuffing separately in greased, covered casserole dish at 325 degrees F for 30 minutes.
