Ray J. Marlin circa 1918-1919

004x2This is a photo of my father, Ray J. Marlin, taken when he was about 6 to 7 years old.  His family had moved from Missouri to Illinois at this time, and I am not sure where the photo was taken, but probably somewhere near where they lived in Aledo, Illinois.  I have a very large one of this photo, in its original oval frame, hanging in my bedroom.  It’s always been one of my favorite photos of my father, and I love the bow and short pants.  Also note the high top buttoned shoes.
