This is a photo of my father, Ray J. Marlin, taken when he was about 6 to 7 years old. His family had moved from Missouri to Illinois at this time, and I am not sure where the photo was taken, but probably somewhere near where they lived in Aledo, Illinois. I have a very large one of this photo, in its original oval frame, hanging in my bedroom. It’s always been one of my favorite photos of my father, and I love the bow and short pants. Also note the high top buttoned shoes.
