In December, 1957, we took a family vacation and drove to Missouri. We were there for Christmas, and while there, my father and brothers borrowed some hunting dogs and guns and went looking for what appears to be quail. That’s my Aunt Laura (Shank) McGrew on the left with her dog, Judy, also on the left. Judy was an English Pointer and she had a litter of pups that included the black dog on the right, Sandy. I think the dog in the middle was borrowed from a neighbor. That’s my dad with the gun over his shoulder.
