1900 Drug Store – Revisited

I’ve never been able to identify either the men in this photo, or the store location.  Over the years I have come across similar looking photos, but never the same one. It was among Aunt Annie’s things so we assumed it could have been from Laclede County, Missouri, but no.  The names on the reverse side are not those known in the county and the other information didn’t give any clues, even when I searched in other states where she lived.  I think it is a drug store because of the glass cases rather than barrels and other containers you would find in a general store.  But I could be wrong.  Note the pot belly stove in the center of the store.
