Gladys Rader and Lola Wilkerson

scan0188aThere were a lot of Raders in and around Niangua, Missouri in Webster County but it is not far from Conway, Missouri, which is in Laclede County.  The Wilkerson Family lived in Conway.  Photo above is Gladys Rader and Lola Wilkerson, taken in the 1920’s or 1930’s.

  1. Lola Clark married my Uncle Charley Wilkerson. I think the one on the right is Lola. I also knew the Radars..Clara Wilkerson-Peele Hall

    • I am in Ireland at the moment but will contact you when i get home next week.

    • Where were you born and where did you grow up?

      • I was born and grew up near Conway, Mo., the dtr of Loyd Wilkerson and the granddaughter of Charles Luther Wilkerson. My grandmother was the dtr. of Charlotte and Lowry Burd. The more I look at this picture, the more it doesn’t look like my Aunt Lola. There were Loyd, Vernard, Charley and Peter Cedric (Dick) Wilkerson.

      • Did the Wilkersons own/run the FOrd dealership in Conway? The only Burd my mother knew was Neil Burd, I think of Phillipsburg.

      • No, the Wilkersons of the Ford dealership might have been distant relatives, or not at all. Neill Burd was my second cousin. His brother, Sylvester, still lives near Phillipsburg, in his 80’s.

      • Any relation to Ruby (Clark) and Guy Hall?

      • No relation to either of them. The Halls were from SE Mo and Ark and Okla. Don’s mother (last name Powers, was one half northern Cherokee). No relation to the Clarks.Peele, Wilkerson, Christian, and Burd.
