GIRL SCOUT COOKIES

This week I came across the original recipe for the Girl Scout sugar cookies.  I think they call them Trefoils now.  It’s very, very simple!

THE ORIGINAL GIRL SCOUT COOKIE

1 cup butter

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoons milk

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

Cream butter and sugar, add well-beaten eggs, then milk, flavoring and flour and baking powder.  Roll thin, make cut-outs with small cookie cutter, sprinkle sugar crystals on top and bake at 350 degrees F for about 8 to 10 minutes, until lighty browned.

ENJOY!
