This photo is labeled, “A fountain in Exposition Park,” and then my mother added, “Charles, Junior and Kenny Ferrier.” I think it’s Charles on the right, but not certain. They were the children of my grandmother’s brother, Lawrence Ferrier, and his wife, Bertie. By the time I was born, Charles was a grown man, Lawrence had died, and Bertie had remarried Clarence Kirby. I would guess this was taken in the 1920’s. Exposition Park has been in Los Angeles since the 1880’s, added to the neighborhood right after the University of Southern California was established in 1880.
