I love the tempura green beans that you get a The Habit.  Here is a simple recipe that you can do at home:


On a bowl, whisk one cup flour, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon each baking powder and salt and 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning; whisk in one cup plus 2 tablespoons cold club soda.  In batches, dip 1/2 pound green beans in the batter, fry in 1/2 inch of simmering vegetable oil until crisp; about 3 minutes.  Sprinkle with salt and more Old Bay seasoning, if desired.
