HALLOWEEN CANDIED LADY APPLES

Cannot believe October is here already.   Here is a recipe for Halloween with a flavor twist:

HALLOWEEN CANDIED LADY APPLES

In a 3 quart saucepan, combine 1-1/2 cups sugar, 3/4 cup pomegranate juice and 3/4 cup light corn syrup.  Cook over moderately high heat, swirling, until the mixture  reaches 305 degrees, about 20 minutes.  Spear 12 Lady applies on candy sticks, dip them in the candy coating and transfer to a wax paper lined baking sheet to cool.
