Savoury buttermilk scones or ‘biscuits’…

In The UK and Ireland, cookies are called biscuits.  Scones are more like what we call biscuits in the U.S., and they do have a little sugar in them, sometimes raisins or other fruit.  However, scones here in the U.S. are usually much sweeter than in Europe.  This recipe is very much like a buttermilk biscuit recipe in that it has no sugar whatsoever:
