Boysenberry Salad with Yogurt Honey Dressing

Some of you probably are not familiar with boysenberries, unless perhaps in store bought jam…?  They are a reddish berry that resembles a blackberry, and they were developed by horticulturist Mr. Boysen by crossing several brambles.  They are found more in So Cal than most places, and of course, they were made famous by Mrs. Knott when she and her husband opened their berry farm way back when (before it became an amusement park).  Her boysenberry pies were world famous and you can still buy them at Knott’s Berry Farm along with her also famous fried chicken.  The recipe at the link below could actually be made with raspberries, blackberries or even strawberries….or a combination; but try the boysenberries if you can find them.
