MARLIN BETHEL CHURCH BUILDING near Conway, Missouri

This is the site of the old Marlin Bethel Church between Marshfield and Conway, Webster County, Missouri. I don’t know when the church was deconsecrated but in 1997 when this photo was taken, the building had been converted for home use for many, many years. This is very near the land where my original Missouri ancestor, Thomas Marlin, settled in the early 1800s. The Marlin Cemetery and old Marlin Schoolhouse building are nearby. The original land is still in use for farming and dairy farming. We drove past this building many times looking for the church building, not realizing that it had been converted for home use. Look at the windows on the left and how the tops have been covered over from the original design.
