While in Philadelphia in 2013, I took my grandson to the Phillies Stadium for a baseball game. Neither of us had been there before, and while the weather was warm, it was cloudy. Toward the end of the game, it did start to rain as a storm blew through and the game was halted and the field covered. This is a real novelty for Conor because he mostly goes to baseball games in Los Angeles, where it just doesn’t rain much during baseball season. It happened the night we went to a Red Sox game at Fenway in Boston in 2011, too, and that was the first time Conor had ever actually seen the field covered other than on t.v. And then the skies cleared and the game resumed.
