While in Philadelphia in 2013, I took my grandson to the Phillies Stadium for a baseball game. Neither of us had been there before, and while the weather was warm, it was cloudy. Toward the end of the game, it did start to rain as a storm blew through and the game was halted and the field covered. This is a real novelty for Conor because he mostly goes to baseball games in Los Angeles, where it just doesn’t rain much during baseball season. It happened the night we went to a Red Sox game at Fenway in Boston in 2011, too, and that was the first time Conor had ever actually seen the field covered other than on t.v.
