Here is another recipe using pecan halves.
GLAZED PECANS
Line baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside. Whisk 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup sour cream in a 4 qt. saucepan until smooth; bring to a boil. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is bubbling and thick, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in 2 cups lightly toasted pecan halves and 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract until well coated. Spread on prepared baking sheet; let cool completely. break into bite-size pieces before serving.

I’ve never seen a recipe like this. Sour cream? What do they look like when they are done? What color?

It’s sort of a white glaze as opposed to a brown sugar glaze.

Yes, it would be great to put out as a snack or with appetizers. I served the brown sugar one with appetizers a week ago and they were a great hit.
