Wow, that is some difference. I was down their with the kids about two years ago. I love to see the difference that time makes on places. Have you any idea when this image was taken?

I think it was taken sometime around 1900-1910. I have friends who still live in the street and surprisingly, some of the houses have not changed that much. Other friends sold their house in Queen Street (one of the few set back from the street) when they moved to a new house out on the cliffs. Their back garden went straight up the hill behind the house and was a wild forest when they moved in, took years to tame and re-organize it. It always reminded me that the whole town is built on little hills that rise up from the strand.
