Perfect Guacamole

This is probably the perfect recipe for making fresh guacamole, though I still occasionally throw some store bought salsa into the avocado and add a dash of salt and pepper:

  1. I like to add just a hint of white wine vinegar, use white pepper instead of black, and a little bit of juice from canned jalapenos. It doesn’t make it overly spicy, just adds a little something that will make your guests say, “What did you do differently? This is really good!” And of course, I never tell them.

    • White pepper is the great undiscovered spice in the U.S. I use it all the time and bring it back from Ireland because it’s so much cheaper and easier to find there.

      • I like all kinds, but white pepper is great for guacamole because it blends in so well.

  2. Thanks so much for posting the link for Perfect Guacamole on your site, Martha! I really appreciate the support. I agree with you that sometimes that’s all you need to do if you’re in a hurry and need guacamole pronto! I have never met a guacamole I didn’t like! 🙂
